When you open an account on readwrite.asia, we collect your name, email address, date of birth, and the payment details you use — including UPI handles, Paytm wallet identifiers, and PhonePe transaction references — solely to process your account activity and comply with applicable financial regulations.

We do not sell your personal data to third-party marketers. Data is processed under the jurisdiction in which readwrite.asia operates, and your rights depend on the laws applicable in your location. Where Indian data-protection law applies, you have the right to request a copy of the

data we hold, ask us to correct inaccuracies, or request deletion subject to our legal retention obligations. All payment data flowing through UPI, Paytm and PhonePe is handled under those providers' own security protocols as well as our internal encryption standards.

How to Submit a Privacy Request

If you want to access, correct or delete the personal data we hold about your readwrite account, our dedicated privacy team handles each request individually.

Data protection at readwrite is not a single checkbox — it runs across account creation, payment processing, session tracking, and our internal retention schedules.

Encryption at Rest and in Transit

Every field in your account record — name, address, payment references — is encrypted in our database. Data moving between your device and readwrite.asia travels over TLS 1.3, the same standard used by major Indian banks.

Cookie Transparency

We use first-party session cookies to keep you logged in and analytics cookies to see which pages you visit. No third-party advertising cookies are dropped without your explicit consent via our cookie preference panel.

Account Access Logs

Every login to your readwrite account is logged with a timestamp and device type. You can view the last 30 days of access activity in Account Settings, and flag any login you do not recognise directly from that screen.

Retention Schedule

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active plus the period required by applicable financial regulation. Once that period ends and you have requested closure, your personally identifying data is deleted or anonymised.

Payment Data Handling

UPI, Paytm and PhonePe transaction IDs are stored only for the period needed to reconcile payouts and meet audit requirements. We do not store your full UPI PIN or PhonePe password — those remain with your payment provider.

Data Request Fulfilment

Submit a subject-access request and we will deliver a structured export of all personal data we hold about you within 14 calendar days. Deletion requests are processed in the same window, subject to mandatory retention obligations under Indian law.
